OQOTECH participates in the development of a respirator to treat people affected by COVID-19
After this situation in which we all find the COVID-19, the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), together with the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV), AIDIMME and in collaboration with medical experts in respiratory mechanical ventilation technology, have developed, in just ten days, a new mechanical ventilator for the treatment of patients affected by COVID-19 and thus be able to provide it to hospitals as soon as possible.
The development of the ventilator consists of a controlled electromechanical device, which will maintain the respiratory cycle in critical patients.
Many companies have shown their interest in helping this cause, such as Agfra, CLR, Itera, Sinfiny, Nutai and IT8, as well as the metal-mechanic sector and other sectors, such as Factor, Rodytrans, Celestica and Ford. These will be in charge of the industrialization of the project in order to collaborate 100% with this idea.
OQOTECH will also be helping hand in hand to make a risk analysis and have the approval of the Spanish agency of medicines and health products (AEMPS), in order to implement this project.
